Installation of the Forget Me Not® Freestanding Kiosk needs to consider various conditions which may change per the mounting option used.

Mounting Options

Forget Me Not® Freestanding Kiosk can be mounted in any of the following ways with a suitable mounting kit:

  • Wall Mounted
  • Desk Mounted
  • Floor Mounted

All mounting options should follow the General Requirements as well as specific requirements for each mounting type.

Wall Mounting Requirements

  • The type of wall material must be rigid and strong enough so that it can support the weight of the device and mounting kit such as concrete, metal or wood. Caution should be used when mounting into soft materials such as plasterboard or similar partitioning material
  • A power cable must be concealed as must as possible for the device in any of the following ways:
    • Mounted within the wall cavity to a concealed powerpoint
    • Mounted in conduit to a wall mounted GPO

Desk Mounted Requirements

  • The type of desktop material must be rigid and strong that can support the force of the device and mounting kit such as wood, MDF, laminate or other similar material
  • The device will need to screwed or bolted to the desktop and power cable access holes drilled into the desktop
  • A power cable must be concealed as must as possible for the device in any of the following ways:
    • Mounted through the desktop to a concealed powerpoint
    • Mounted in conduit to a wall mounted GPO

Floor Mounted Requirements

  • The type of floor material must be rigid and strong enough so that it can support the force of the device and mounting kit such as concrete, steel and hardwood.
  • The device will need to screwed or bolted to the floor using suitable mounting bolts
  • A power cable must be concealed as must as possible for the device in any of the following ways:
    • Mounted through the floor to a concealed powerpoint
    • Mounted within the stand or conduit to a wall mounted GPO

General Requirements

These requirements apply to all mounting types.

  • The device should be mounted within range of a suitable WiFi network. 
  • The device should be mounted close to a free GPO for use by the power pack
  • The device should not be mounted close to any of the following:
    • An external entry/exit door that can be impacted by weather
    • Within 100mm of a fire hose reel rim or fire retardant system
    • Within 300mm of the side of an electrical panel or communications panel
    • Within 300mm a water supply such as tap, water fountain
    • Within 300mm of a heat source
    • Where live electrical cables traverse the wall or are located in the wall cavity
  • The use of floor conduits to hide cabling to a GPO in another area should be avoided where possible as they can be a tripping hazard
