How to check if a Learner's account credentials are valid

You can check users account credentials are valid when they have trouble signing in to the app

Attempt to log in to the console

This is the best way to check a user's account credentials is to attempt to log in to the console with them as this does not change the users App login status and can be done by anyone.

  1. Go to the Console login screen console.forgetmenot.chat

  2. Enter the user’s account credentials and attempt to login

  3. Review the error message that is shown to determine the issue

Error messages

We were unable to log you in, try again

This error message indicates that the credentials are not correct, the user may have misread a password character or is trying to login using the wrong email address.

If they don't know the account password there are ways to assist users with password resets.

Your account does not have access to the console

This error message indicates the credentials are correct but they don’t have access to the console. This is the normal case for a Learner account.
