How to generate AI variants WIP

Learn how to use AI to help generate meaningful variants when authoring advanced questions

When authoring advanced questions that require multiple variants, it can be challenging to think of alternative scenarios for all of the questions in the set. This is where AI can assist by generating new variants that can be used as-is or adjusted as required.

AI variants are generated based on existing information such as:

  • Question Title
  • Variant 1 Question Statement
  • Variant 1 Question Prompt

Once these things have been entered, the Add with AI option is enabled, this allows the generation of a new variant.

⚠️If any of the conditions are not met then the Add with AI option will be disabled

Generate an AI Variant

  1. Go to the Question Studio
  2. Edit a question set and go to a specific question.
  3. Ensure the title, statement and prompt for variant 1 are completed.
  4. Select Add with AI.
  5. A new variant will be added which contains an AI generated statement and prompt.
  6. Review the provided text and adjust as necessary.

✅ If you don't like the generated variant, simply delete the variant and try again. AI will generate a different variant each time.
