Media Formats
Learn how media is used in Question Sets to provide rich and engaging content
Media is used in Question Sets and can cover multiple different types:
- Images
- Audio Clips
- Video Clips
- PDF Documents
In order for the media to display correctly it must adhere to the following specifications.
Image Specifications
Image File Type
-
PNG - PNG is the recommended image type for graphic images due to the high quality compared to file size
-
JPG - JPG is the recommended format for photo images or when PNG is not suitable when reduced file size is required
⚠️it is not recommended to use images with transparency to ensure they display consistently. If the source images are transparent it is recommended to apply an image background colour of grey (hex #E1E3E5)
Image Sizes
All images should be provided in fullscreen size.
- Fullscreen W1920 x H1080
✅ Images can be cropped to reduce the height only if the image allows for this as long as the width value of 1920 is maintained.
For reference, the following image sizes are used and are automatically converted from the fullscreen image size to cater to different device resolutions.
- Large - W1280 x H720
- Medium - W640 x H360
- Small - W480 x H270

✅ Images will always be adjusted to fit the max width of the device display area
