What are Series Delivery Mode options
Delivery Mode options are used to add learning outcomes to the Series and are selected based on the key target audience
The following delivery mode options are possible:
- Maximum number of Question per Day
- Duration of the Series Enrolment
- Mastery Goal
Maximum number of Question per Day
This value determines the maximum number of questions that will be delivered on any day that questions are available. It also sets the limit of the maximum number of questions that can be made available to the learner. This value is two times the QPD value.
- Using a lower QPD value may be useful when learners don't have a lot of time to complete questions or don't need to be overloaded when doing multiple concurrent Series
- Using a high QPD value means that learners will be able to master the series in a short amount of time
⚠️ Question per Day parameter is also used with Competency (topic based) Series to control the number of concurrent topics. Where the QPD is set to 1, only 1 topic can be active at a time, where QPD is 2 then 2 topics are concurrently active.
Duration of the Series Enrolment
This value determines the length of the enrolment and when it will expire. The possible values for duration are listed below:
- Mastery (available to the learner until mastered, up to a maximum of 12 months from release date)
- Fixed Duration (available to the learner for the specified days, weeks, months)
- Set End Date (available to the learner until the specified end date and time)
Each value has it's pros-and-cons and can be selected based on the campaign scenario that works best for your organisation.
⚠️ Once the Series Enrolment has expired, learners will no longer get access to the Series. This may have an impact on which value is chosen
⚠️ Any Series that will be part of a Learning Pathway, must have the Duration value of Mastery in order for the system to process the Pathway Enrolment
Mastery Goal
This value determines the number of attempts a learner must correctly answer each question in order to gain Mastery.
The science behind the Mastery value is to increase the value to ensure learners retain the knowledge. The higher the value the better the knowledge retention will be.
