Why am I not getting browser notifications on a shared computer

If you use a shared computer and are using Forget Me Not from a web browser, notifications may have be disabled by another user, learn how to reset browser notifications.

Forget Me Not is available via a web browser from learn.forgetmenot.chat which means it can be used on shared computers. When the computer is shared, another user may have already disabled browser notifications and this will impact all users of the shared computer.

The Forget Me Not website can only prompt once for notification permissions, and if that is accepted by another user, then that will set up with notification permissions for all future users.

If the user denied the notifications, then all future users are never asked again.

Any subsequent user signing in on the same browser, even though in a new session, will never be prompted to get notifications which is part of browser security/spam protection mechanisms.

This means you might not be getting any notifications through the browser.

⚠️Learner Web access via a computer needs to be enabled for your organisation. Please contact FMN support if you believe you should have learner Web access.
