Cover Image Format

The cover image is used as the main display image for a Series in the App and in the Series Library

In order for the series cover image to display correctly it must adhere to the following formats.

Image File Type

  • JPG is the recommended format for photo images or when PNG is not suitable when a reduced file size is required
  • PNG is the recommended image type for full graphic images due to the high quality compared to file size

⚠️ it is not recommended to use images with transparency to ensure they display consistently. If the source images are transparent it is recommend to apply an image background colour of grey (hex #E1E3E5)

Image Sizes

All cover images should be provided in the fullscreen size.

  • Fullscreen W1920 x H1080

✅ Where not possible to resize and maintain the exact vertical size with a locked ratio, the source image will need to be cropped to maintain the required aspect ratio

⚠️ Images that are too large may cause issues when uploading. For best results ensure images are within the General File Sizing Guide for Media Formats

Image Aspect Ratio

  • Cover images must have an aspect ratio of 16:9 where the width is 1.77 times the height, original images must be cropped as required to maintain this ratio.
