Why are Resource not showing as used in a Question Set?

Learn why resources are not showing as used in a question set and how to update it

A common scenario is when you have created resources either from within the Resource Library or directly when using Question Builder. When creating or editing a question set draft you have then attached resources to various parts of the question set.

When you view the resource from the Resource Library you notice that the resource is not indicating being used in a Question Set e.g the value is 0 (zero).

 

And when the resource is selected and opened in the side panel, there are no references to the specific Question Set that you attached it to.

Don't worry, this is normal.

✅ Resources that are attached to a Question Set Draft will only show as 'used in' a set when the Question Set is published.

Publishing a Question Set Draft creates a Question Set version and this is when the 'used in' reference is updated.
