How to get the best learner experience with resources?
Find out how to format resources to get the best learner experience in the app
Using resources in a Question Set provides the ability to add extra information for learners when viewing a Question. There are different types of resources and it's important to know the best way to format those resources to get the best learner experience in the app.
Some tips to get the best results are:
- Be familiar with the different types of resources and how they are displayed in the app
- Start early in the process and work with the customer to ensure the right document format is created at the start. Existing content that is not in the best format (e.g. landscape vs portrait PDF) may need to be modified to give the learner the best in-app experience
- If the customer is hosting files on their own authenticated websites (e.g. SharePoint), let them know the best format to obtain the links to those files / websites
- Let them know that the native app video player only supports resources in the correct format and linked to the YouTube platform. If they don't have a YouTube account, let them know that video resources can be hosted by Forget Me Not. Alternatively if they have videos hosted on other platforms (e.g. Vimeo) then the link can be provided as a website resource and the video played through the phones browser or installed video player app
- For any audio clips they may want to use as a resource, they also must be in the correct format and can be uploaded into Forget Me Not.
