What are the different enrolment types for?
Learn what the different enrolment types are and when to use them
When a learner is enrolled into a Series, it's possible to select a specific enrolment type that determines how the learner will experience the questions.
The following enrolment types are possible:
- Standard
- Preview
- Competency
- Burst
⚠️Some enrolment types may not be displayed in your console. Contact Forget Me Not® Support if you have any questions.
Standard Enrolment
The standard enrolment mode is the default type, and this enrols the learner in the spaced repetition learning mode and follows the series delivery parameters such as mastery goal, questions per day and the duration.
✅ This is the default type and most enrolments should use this option
Preview Enrolment
The preview enrolment mode can be selected to enrol the user in a special 7-day preview mode which disables the spaced repetition learning mode and allows the user to preview all questions as many times as they like in the 7-day time period. All feedback options can be seen by the user and it ignores all of the series delivery parameters such as mastery goal, questions per day and the duration.
⚠️Preview enrolments will not appear in Insights Reports and mastery cannot be achieved in this mode.
✅ Preview enrolments are a great way to let subject matter experts or content approvers assess content prior to release to the wider audience
✅ Watch this video which explains the difference between Preview Mode and Standard Mode enrolments
Competency Enrolment
The competency enrolment mode is used with Series that use Topic Based Question Sets, These are special questions that are used to test competency in a subject.
⚠️If competency mode is required for a series and is not selected or is selected when not required the following error will be shown
Burst Enrolments
The burst enrolment mode is a special enrolment type option that can be applied to any series at the time of enrolling learners. It is designed to give learners the opportunity to attempt all questions in the series, in a single session, thereby giving the ability to master a series in a short period of time.
Burst mode is a great way for learners to demonstrate their existing knowledge in a series.
