Why did some learners not get enrolled in learning pathway?
Learn why some learners cannot be enrolled into a learning pathway by understanding the failure notifications.
Learning pathways are made up of multiple series and can be either Linear Learning Pathways or Interleaved Learning Pathways.
When an enrolment into a pathway is processed, the system checks to see if the learner is already enrolled in any of the series that are part of the pathway. If they are already enrolled, the system will not process the pathway enrolment and the following failure notification will be provided to the console admin in the Learning Pathway Summary Email.
⚠️ The following failures have occurred:
User already enrolled in some of the learning pathway series: Series-1, Series-2
The error notification will advise the names of the series that the learner is already enrolled in and this can be used to resolve the failure.
Ways to resolve this failure notification
- Withdraw the learner from any series enrolments. If they have Not Signed in or Not Attempts then this is the best action. If they are In Progress withdrawing them means they will lose their current progress in each series so may not be beneficial to the learner. Always consider the progress percentage and the impacts to the learner if they have to restart the series
- Enrol the learner in a different pathway that does not contain the impacted series if possible. Create a different pathway to cater for this situation if it will help.
- Depending on the number of series in the pathway it may be advisable to enrol the user in the individual series that are remaining in the pathway. For example, the pathway contains series-1, series-2, series-3 and series-4. The learner is already enrolled in series-1 and series-2 and are in progress. Enrol the user in series-3 and series-4 using the normal series enrolment process
